I know, I know - it's considered the dregs of the dregs, but it WAS one of the original reality shows and it IS in it's fourth year and its the only reality show with LIVE feeds, so you gotta give it a little respect!

IMO - Just a harmless summer indulgence. :D

I only really like Big Brother because it really lets you get to know the characters due to it being on 3 times a week. You don't really know what Survivor characters are like because they are playing an intense game in a unique survival setting, and CBS edits the show to keep you guessing. But with Big Brother, you have more of a feel for what's going on...

I agree that this show is great! Last year I got the live internet feeds and they are pretty fun to watch. Sometimes they have challenges that start on the live show and if you get the live feeds, you can watch them online and see who wins. It's pretty cool. Most of the challenges are blacked-out from the live feeds though so they are a surprise on the recap episodes on TV.

That's exactly why my wife and I enjoy Big Brother. While there is still selective editing in what is shown on TV, you get to know the characters far better than on other shows like Survivor. We've watched every season of BB and, while some were better than others, we've enjoyed them all. We're looking forward to this season and can't wait to see what new rules they add to mess with the houseguests' heads. :D

I'm glad to hear this! Big Brother has become my fav real tv show.

But most of all, I'm glad to see that there will be stuff to watch over the summer.

The only problem with BB is that all of the people who get kicked out of the house see what the people left inside are saying. The reason last season was so fun was because of all the smack Danielle was talking in the Diary Room. She did not win because of it. Think anyone will do the same thing this time? I don't think so.

But remember the season before that when Wil did the same thing and won? He ripped up everybody in that diary room. The difference was, he told everybody from the beginning that he was going to lie and do whatever was necessary to win. In the end, I think the others respected that. Danielle made the mistake of not being honest up front in the game. Plus, she turned on Jason at the last minute. I don't think anybody forgave her for that...except Jason.

BB also does what Survivor has yet to really do: They change the game. This season of Survivor didn't really change anything. I don't care if it was man vs. women, that's not a big enough change to the game to make it different to watch. The immunity being added to BB, and the bringing someone back into the game? Now that's different! It also makes people for this cast really have to play the game differently...
