Hi all,

I saw & think i may have missed the trade in program a few months ago. I would have done it if i knew about the "home media option" which is pretty sweet.

Anyway, I have a series 1 & 2 & I would like to trade my tivo in for the newer one (if they still do that). How should I go ahead with finding out?

TiVo didn't have a trade-in program. For a short while they did allow you to purchase a new 80- hour TiVo Series 2 and transfer your lifetime subscription from your Series 1 to the Series 2, but that it is no longer available. You can sell your old TiVo on ebay. You can get a decent price for it (especially if it has a lifetime subscription and/or has been upgraded).

Oh ya, that was it :) I have a broken series 1 with a lifetime subscription on it. The video doesnt seem to work.

The working series one I have is upgraded to 80 hours I think. It was so long ago I dont remember for sure.
