Ok here is the problem.

I purchase Used Tivo from E-bay (Bad Modem).
I purchase the Turbonet board from 9thtee.
Installed the Turbonet drivers and Put the drive back in the unit.

The Tivo booted up with with the initial setup forcing me to answer questions and to dial in. Before I dialed in the FTP & Telnet function was working. After it dialed in and the unit downloading the data etc. rebooted tivo.. the ftp and Telnet stoped working.

HELP!!!!

It downloaded a software update from TiVo's servers. It set it up on the inactive root partition and then modified the boot block so that when it rebooted it booted the newly installed software.

Your hacks (or at least the scripts that launch them) are on the old partition, and are thus not loading. You'll have to install them again.
