I find the TivoCentral remote scheduling rather primitive, as web clients go.

I realize that on the Tivo itself, with the peanut/ouija approach to text entry, it needs to stay simple. But on the web, we are all used to much more sophisticated search engines (ex. "Jon Stewart" AND NOT "9pm-11pm").

And, if/when I get a list of episodes in response to my query, I'd like to be able to check off the ones I want, and accept them all in one request -- rather than the current laborious way of picking them one at a time. (And if I'm missing some way to do this now, set me straight and shut me up!) This is pretty standard web stuff -- yes, I recognize that on the backend you might have to send my Tivo a separate record request for each episode, but hey.

I think the "schedule while I'm away from home" application is not the real winner for TivoCentral -- for me, it would be the ability to construct more elaborate searches, more quickly, than I can do with the peanut.

I agree completely that TiVo Central will need to enhance itself with newer options as it 'hopefully' evolves. Remember this is just version 1.0.

Like you, I was hoping to use the on-line ability to eliminate the ouija entry with the remote. It is still faster but can use some more options such as multiple selections and better search.

I would also hope that if privacy issues can be worked out, TiVo Central will know more about my units (channels receivied, seaason passes, etc.).

But this is the suggestion forum, so TiVo were is versoin 2.0?
