Recording problems with upgraded Series2

Hi,
I recently upgraded my Series2 60hr TiVo due to a bad hard drive. I put in a single Maxtor 160GB drive. Everything appeared to be running correctly, but now that I've scheduled some Season Passes, I found that nothing records i.e. the shows are in "Now Playing" but when I try to watch them I get:
Error playing a recording
The TiVo DVR was not able to record this program because there was no video signal on the channel. You may have been trying to record on a channel that you don't receive.
The TiVo is actually recording when I watch live TV (I can pause, rewind, etc) and if I change the channel in the middle of a recording, the partial recording remains available.
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Tim

I have the exact same problem! I recently upgraded (replace) my series2 60 with a 120gig. I thought everything was fine until discovering the same error when trying to watch a recording.
Live TV works fine (pause, rewind, etc.), but when I hit record on the current show I get the "please wait" for a second and then it simply goes away. TiVo never starts recording! i found that i *can* actually record at lower quality settings! all setting except best seemed to work.
i did some more tests and found that i could watch a show that was currently being recorded, but things like suggestions and other completed recording would not play...even at lower quality. i verified that TiVo is switching to the channel to record and the signal exists.
anyone else have this problem...or better yet, a solution?
one other odd thing is that the red LED is not lighting up when the record is happening???

in case anyone else is interested, this was just the error #51 problem and was easily solved with a "clear and delete everything".

exact same issue for me after upgrading my 40hr to a single 120g HD.
I tried everything else, now I am trying the clear and delete everything.
I will post my results in a bit

^^
works fine now!

I seem to have resolved mine as well. I downgraded to a 3.2 image, did a clear and delete, went through guided setup and then forced a call to upgrade to 4.0. Everything seems to be working now.
