Just upgraded HDR612 to two 160 GBs. Turbonet installed and working with ,#401. Ready to run nic_install. Do I just pull the A drive and run it? Do I need to do anything with the B drive at all?

Hi,

Nope, just the A drive.

Personally I would recommend:

Step 1 - Do a backup (both drives required).

Step 2 - Remove the B Drive

Step 3 - Run nic_install

The backup may seem like a waste of time but it only takes 10 minutes and you will then have an up-do-date backup if you ever need it.

Thanks Nick. Made the backup, booted to the Turbonet CD. Got an error that said something like /dev/hdc mounted as read-only and then no Tivo drive connected.

I think that I have the CD drive in the wrong place (pri slave). I'll move it to sec slave and retry.
