Hi.... I have two SVR 2000's

One of the hard drives is locked in guided setup.
(I ran guided setup over the original setup without first erasing everything. It was re booting every 10 min or so).

If I switch hard drives the problem is transfered too.

1. How do I copy the good drives data to the bad one?

2. How can I copy the movies from the problem drive to the good one?

I know how to format a drive in DOS but I never have used Linux.
And I have never worked with a drive image.....How does that work?

Please advise me

Read the basic backup/restore info in the newbie section

It will tell you everything about backing up your good hard-drive and then using that image to restore over the bad one.

Actually, rbiro has linked the wrong thread. The instructions in that thread are misleading (at least to start with).

Go to the Upgrade Centre and read Hinsdale's 'How-to Upgrade your TiVo' and use MFS Tools 2.0 as he directs.
