Share *.ty between two SA Series 1 TiVos

Hi all,
I've tried searching on this but being it's a little complex I had a hard time finding an answer.
To sum it up I want to extract video from a series one tivo and put it on another tivo for viewing. Allow me to explain further please...
I recently bought a TiVo and performed a few hacks on it. I love it so much that I talked a friend into trying one out. So he bought a refurb from www.servicedvr.com. (Which btw has the best prices I've seen and fast shipping. Just don't expect the normal email with tracking etc.) We both have Series 1 SA TiVos and each of us subscribes to the service. If what I want to do works, he will probably buy a TurboNET also.
I get a good bit more channels than he does and there is one show that we both like that he doesn't receive. Is it possible to extract the video from my TiVo and upload it to his and it show in his now playing so he can watch it? We both have cable Internet and that part I'm not worried about.
If it will work I envision setting up cron on each box. Let's say the show gets over at 9am. I could start a cron at 9:15 to extract the ty to an ftp server. Then after we figure out how long that will take. Then we can allow a 60 minute buffer or so then run a cron on his to log in the the same ftp server and download the file to the correct location.
Am I just dreaming here?
Any comments welcome. Thanks...

Extraction is a verboten topic here. Try a Google Search to find a place that allows that topic.
I also feel compelled to point out that what you are proposing is NOT fair use under copyright law, just as recording a show onto a VHS tape and giving it to a friend is not fair use.

Well actually the extraction part I can do just fine. The real question I was asking is if you can upload a ty file to a TiVo it hasn't been on before and it show up in the now playing list.
Sorry about the copyright thingy. Really what I meant to say was that I was the one with two TiVo's. And my friend wanted to watch the same show in another room.
I'll check the extraction thread @ dealdatabas*, sorry for the wrongfull post here Zirak.
