CD will not boot

I have downloaded the Tiger’s Mfs Tools boot CD as explained in this forum.
I used Nero, and selected File, Burn Image, and burnt the image. There are files present on the CD. I set my PC to boot from the CD. I wanted to test the CD before I attached any TiVo drives to the PC so as to not accidentally boot into XP.
The CD will not boot. The PC sais Boot from CD.......... then just boots into Windows. It appears that the proper files are on the CD, so why will it not boot from that CD??
Thanks in advance for yor assistance.

Make sure you're burning the file as an iso image. I don't remember how Nero does this since I usually use CDRWin or other program that's better suited for iso's. The method you're using is apparently not the correct one.

Also, make sure you got the non-Joliet 'noJ' ISO instead of the original one, which has problems booting in most systems.
If you can't make it work, just use a floppy instead.

As far as I can tell, there is only ONE .iso to choose from. Where is this "non-Joliet" ISO located? I have burnt .ISO's before using the same method in Nero and they work fine.

If you look in Tiger's site, you'll see there are several ISO's available. Only one has a reasonable expectation of working.
Hinsdale links the noJ version.

Thanks for all the help, but, I have found the problem.
I downloaded the .iso image from a link on this site to my laptop hard drive. I then copied the image across my network to my PC with the CD-RW. I found that none of the txt files on the CD would work, so I surmised that the .iso was bad.
I then proceeded to download the .iso again only I used the PC where my CD-RW was installed.
After burning the .iso THIS time, it worked!
Thanks again for all the help.
