Approx. time to dd an 80GB drive?

My 80GB TiVo B-Drive has started acting up. I bought a replacement 80GB drive and the LBA numbers on it are slightly larger, so no concerns there.

I booted to MFSTools 2.0. I bswapped all the TiVo drives and the new drive since I had previously experienced problems with this MFSTools CD image if I did not.

I'm trying to save my recordings on the old drive by doing

dd conv=noerror,sync if=/dev/hdb of=/dev/hdc bs=1024k

On the previous attempt, the source drive stopped reading after about an hour and the HDD light went off. I ran maxdiags and the old drive passed and I soft-booted back into the MFSTools CD to rerun the dd with the conv parameter (didn't the first time).

About how long should I expect for an 80GB drive?

My spouse has given me a drop dead time and it's in the neighborhood of 6-7 hours after I started the dd. I was able to make an MFSTools divorced backup and would prefer to wait out the dd copy instead of restoring.
