Hello all,

New to the board, first time poster.

I'd like your thoughts on how to solve the following situation:

- I have a PC upstairs and a satellite set-top box downstairs. Neither can be moved and are diagonally opposite each other (approx. 20 metres).
- I wish to have TiVo attached to the PC, so I can record to/watch the programmes via my PC and its TV tuner card.
- I want to have the ability to use the satellite channels also.

My dilemma is fourfold:

1) how do I link a TiVo to the satellite receiver box?

2) Can I use a DigiSender-type unit wo transfer images, sound and remote signals?

3) Is TiVo able to link to a PC TV Tuner (Hauppauge Nova-t)?

4) The TiVo manufacturer in the UK has ceased production - no new producer has been found yet. Can I import one from the US or Europe - and will they work (leads, sockets, etc)?

I would appreciate any answers you may have to the above questions and/or thoughts relating to these.
