Series 2, 4.0 External Modem or Ethernet

My Series 2 with 4.0 software's modem just killed over.

What can I do to get my system going again?

Is Ethernet or External Modems possible on it?

If anyone have a good FAQ or something, that would really help out alot.

Thanks,

Kristov

Both are possible - external modems will work, but USB to ethernet dongles are cheaper (and faster). If you have a DHCP ethernet router with internet access, that's the way to go. You can also do wireless.

Either way, make sure you get an adapter that works - dig around here for the list.

I have a DLINK Wireless/Wired Ethernet router.

Anyone know if that works fine with the USB dongle? I dont mind a wired one if its cheaper

Yes, that's fine with a wired one, and wired one's are cheaper. Just make sure the wired one is 'approved' according to the list here:
