Since HBO is selling the DVD box sets now, are they not going to re-air the first season or two? They haven't shown a single episode in the two months I've had my DirecTivo. :(

Season 3 just ended in June, IIRC.

Season 1 is on DVD, Season 2 is not (and I haven't seen a release date yet).

Generally speaking, it's been HBO's m.o. to rerun the entire run of its series leading up to the new season. For instance, they reran all 3 seasons of The Sopranos prior to season 4. They are currently running all 4 seasons of Sopranos leading up to Season 5. They reran season 1 of The Wire prior to Season 2. I expect/hope they will do the same for SFU eventually.

And HBO's DVD sets usually come out right when a show is starting a new season.

Damn, so it will be another year before I have all of the Sopranos?

Looks like they just started season 3 of The Sopranos. Season 4 will start in approximately 11 weeks, which is the end of Sept/first week of Oct. Season 4 will end by the end of the year. I think Sopranos Season 5 was originally going to be on in early 2004, but has been pushed back a bit.

It seems like HBO Signature could re-air these original series more frequently than once a year. :(
