Monster House: Zen House (Spoilers)

Well this team did awesome. I can't believe they decorated as well as build and finished early. Sure they didn't have all the crazy tasks as some of the other teams (i.e. Old West) but it still was tons of work. This house's style is my favorite so far. The deck, koi pond, and hot tub looked fantastic. The bamboo flooring was great as well. Not much drama on this episode. What did y'all think?

I stumbled onto this last night while waiting for my other half to come watch something else. I got about 20 minutes into it, hit record and I'll watch the rest tonight.

From what I've seen so far, all the drama has been about getting the wrong items for the koi pond, such as the sand.

This was the easiest build so far. They didn't even need to cut into any walls. The coolest thing was the new hot tub with a CD player, and the build team had nothing to do with the construction / installation of the hot tub.
I still like this show but this was a bad episode :(

I wouldn't say "bad" episode but it certainly was a little "flat". That aside, I really liked the finished outcome (far better than tropical house or 70's house) but would have liked to see more things accomplished. They didn't do anything really in any of the rooms except the family room and the back porch. Would have been nice to see a Kitchen or bedroom done in the same theme.

Of all the houses they have done, this is the one I'd most like to live in (if I was sentenced to serve time in one of the Monster Houses for some horrible crime). My least favorite house has to be the Tropical. That Tiki God was ever so cheeseball... :D

I agree this was a pretty easy build. Alot of the stuff (weeping walls, Hot Tub, Cabana, flooring etc.) was prefabbed and there wasn't an excessive amount of construction necessary. The walls just hung, well, on the wall, and T&G flooring is a piece of cake and goes in very fast. Not much in the way of challenging plumbing or electrical either...

I do feel that for once they got a pretty good crew without a MAJOR Bozo in the bunch. Even though that one guy kept hurting himself (the sign of a pro is how many band-aids they are NOT wearing at the end of a project) he still managed to get alot of work done quickly. That Girl was kind of annoying but you gotta give her credit for getting in there and making her point.

All in all I still enjoyed the build. It was refreshing to see a group mesh and and work well together for a change. But that's enough. Let's get back to pissing contests, infighting and incompetence again! I love to see Steve lose his composure. :)
