Paradise Hotel, Hey, WTH (SPOILERS)
(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)
Posted by: retrodog
So I looked around a little and didn't really see anything to speak of.
Okay, so after we get past the "How could you watch that ridiculous show?" remarks, I just gotta say,,, "Keith is my hero".
Well I've been watching this show for a while now and Toni is so far beyond getting on my nerves that it isn't even funny. This is the type of girl who ends up gettin beaten by guys who don't even hit women. She is a crazy Be-itch from hell. So of course I wouldn't hit her. But I would talk another girl into doing it(just kiddin but it sounds like a good idea).
As far as the rest of the four (or so) of the originals who have their little power group, Keith's decision tonight made me so happy that I just about squealed. And his attitude towards Toni makes him honorary "Hero to Retrodog" for the week. And that is really quite an honorable award. :D
Zack, without a doubt, got my "Middle Finger Up" award for the last three weeks. What an idiotic redneck at its most inmature and ignorant level.
Hey Zack,,, Buh-bye. Nobody is intimidated by you, just annoyed. :p
(So if this needs to be merged with another thread then go ahead and do it.)

Don't you mean Paradise Hotel?
I missed it last night, so thanks for the recap.
Posted by: mask2343
Yeah, but Zach can sue...he's got lawyer in him.
Posted by: marksman
I am so happy... I hated Zach. He may have been the dumbest person to ever grace the screen in a reality series.
I like all the threats and such too. The old timers are simply not grasping this game with no end. Right now it appears things are split down the middle. Any new person who comes in is still going to side with the new-comers group, because the old-timers have proven they want to to try and remove anyone who was not there form the beginning.
At this point though it is evenly matched, and it is time for some more of those original people to go. I really hope Toni goes next.
Posted by: pmyers
I am sooooo glad to see that Ahole Zach get the boot. How about when he told Amy not to cry because it just makes it harder for him? All this guy does is think about himself.

Yeah, probably cause I didn't fast forward through all the "Temptation Island" commercials fast enough. That got the titles inter-twined, or something like that.
You're welcome.
Posted by: joeinma
I'm glad Zack got the boot also. He was a freaking idiot, who thought all the women should throw themselves at his feet because he think's he's more jacked they all the other guys. What kind of idiot thinks everything is related to their muscles. I really had to laugh last night when he said "Keith wants me gone because I'm more ripped then him." What a loser!
The worst part was that he kept threating Amy like dirt, but she kept going back to him and apologizing like it was her fault. She has to a few screws loose to let a guy treat her like dirt but still stay with him.

I guess she suffers from the typical "abused woman syndrome", or something like that. What really annoyed me about Zack, or at least started annoying me about him, was when he was going around telling everyone he was a country boy and blah blah blah. He's just an idiot. Hey, what's that smacking noise I just heard. Oh, it's the door hitting him on the ass as he leaves the hotel. :D
It kind of surprised me with the new gal (can't think of her name). The one with long dark hair. She is trying to side with the unpopular group (Charla and gang) but she actually got rid of one of them on that previous show. Sorta like she is trying to not make too many waves with the powerpack. I loved the way that Charla looked when that happened, totally stunned. I'd like to see Charla kick her ass over that. ;) That's what made me all the happier when Keith canned Zack. It's about time someone started "thinning out the herd a little" (a phrase I picked just for the country boy lawyer wannabe). ;)
Posted by: retrodog
Okay, these gals are just completely "over the top". Amy has gone nuts and Toni is welcoming her aboard the Good Ship PMS.
Posted by: pmyers
could Amy be any more pyscho? Not only was she rude to Keith but rude to the new girls before they even said a word. The one hit it on the head when she said that Amy never welcomes in the new people.
Posted by: tms317
After watching Tuesday's episode, I was really hoping that Amy would calm the hell down and realize that Keith did not decide to kick one of the original guys off, he HAD to. Then, after watching last nights ep, I really just want Amy to leave the show. We get it. Your boyfriend's gone, you're bitter and depressed...But come on!!! How can you sit there in front of everyone and rant about how Keith should have kept Zach when you are basically saying there is someone else you wanted gone. (And how can she possibly think everyone respected Zach the most? He was an idiot!!) And what is wrong with Beau?? Doesn't he see that they all want him gone??? why is he siding with Amy and her nutty bunch??? These people are retarded. I can only hope that Charla succeeds in getting all the newbies on her side and they get rid of Amy (or Toni) next.
Posted by: retrodog
This is really quite interesting. It seems that only the guys (from the original set) and Charla are smart enough to see what a bunch of idiots that the girls are (Toni, Amy, Kristin).
Okay, basic logic, all the new people have seen all the shows up until the point that they get to join. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that those three be-itches are only interested in their little group and will stab you in the back at the first chance. Every new person coming in now already knows that the Charla group is the only one who will really allow them to join.
Zack was the only one of the guys who was a complete idiot. Watch the other ones now. They aren't being anywhere near as tacky as the three witches.
The Retrodog award for spineless person of the week goes to that brunette with long hair (still can't remember her name) for sucking up to the evil three and trying to become the fourth. Oh, it's Tara. Yeah, she's spineless.
Posted by: pmyers
That, and it would help if Keith was smart enough to be a rebuttle together or the balls to just say "I had to vote out one of your alliance and I hated Zach the most as does America". I did want to throw up when Amy said that he had voted off the person that everybody respected and looked up to the most......geesh!
Posted by: tms317
Retro, do you think that all of the new people have actually seen all the previous episodes??? I kinda think that the new episodes are aired after the fact, which would mean that, while the new contestant may have been picked on yesterday's show, maybe only a few episodes had actually aired at that point....I'm not sure about this in any way, but i just don't think that those selection eps are live.

Well they claim to have been watching the shows. I'm not sure what sequence it all happens in but they certainly appear to be already familiar with the group dynamics to some point.
But hey, it's a TV show so for all we know it is all scripted anyway. ;)
Posted by: SuperZippy
fantastic show..
could they find any more ugly women to put on a sex show?
dave and charla cleaning house.
Posted by: marksman
Yeah the show started off a little show...but it has definately picked up steam.
I just PRAY that Toni picks Scott next week and the new girl picks Scott and gets rid of Toni.
My only lingering question on this show is....
WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS SHOW...
While many of the contestants are accused of playing the "game", what is the game?
We are not privy to the point, or end-game of this whole production. And I know they recently extended it for 6 more episodes. But what will be the culmination of all this nonesense.
I imagine everyone, right now is just trying to survive.
Anyways, I give Charla and Dave a lot of credit as they hava managed to stay there in spite of most of the people wanting them going most of the time.
Posted by: retrodog
If I were Keith, I would just wait till Amy was done yelling and say, "Hey, I think your butt is getting bigger." Yeah, that's what I'd do.
And then if Toni got in my face again, I'd just smile and say, "Ya know, Holly's boobs look a lot more real than yours."
Yeah, that'd teach'em. :D

Oh, I don't know about that. After last nights ep. I think Tara is playing both sides right now and playing it very well. She has Beu in her pocket, Charla-Keith-Dave believing she is with them and the other girls are not quite sure where she stands. I would bet she swings where the wind blows next week.
Dammit I'm addicted....... :p

I couldn't figure out why Fox didn't let the new person pick first and force someone not new to the show to make a choice to kick someone else off. But I guess the dynamic with Keith is support for their approach.
Anyway, the guys are either idiots or Fox is scripting the show. Actually, it's probably both. The guys should have all decided to pick the same girl (Charla would be the logical choice). Then Keith's choice wouldn't have mattered, and they could have tried to convince Charla to not pick Dave, and Dave would have been the one to go home...
Regardless, an incredibly entertaining show. I just wish they could get rid of Toni and Amy in one episode next week. I'm tired of them both.
Posted by: loopey
If you remember when Tara had to choose, a few girls choose the same guy. The hostess made the guy pick and the girls pick again so that it would be Tara's decision. They would have done the same thing with Keith and forced it to be his decision.
Posted by: e30mpwrd
Didn't know that--the ep where Tara kicked off Amanda was the only one I didn't see. I guess Fox is determined to make the newbie kick someone off--which is sort of counter to the show's tag line of hook up or go home.

This changed pretty early on because it became pretty apparent the original members were going to just get rid of the new people each week.
Making it so the new person forces an old person off forces some balance. Although I suspect it can go back to the original method or be altered altogether the next time they do it.

I was hoping that they were bringing in both new girls and that they would be getting rid of 2 original members. Frankly I'm bored with all of the "originals".

For the first time in my life I was actually enjoying seeing a woman cry. It is rather interesting that I don't feel anything other than satisfaction when seeing Amy or Toni cry. Now if they'd just get to Kristin then life would be good.
I feel so dirty.

Game On?... GAME OVER!
I'm so glad Toni is gone. That outfit alone should've gotten her voted off.

LOL. I'll buy that for a dollar. ;)
At least she made a bit of an ass of herself at the first of the show to remind us why she should leave.
I didn't get quite as much enjoyment outta seeing her leave since she sort of sacrificed herself like that. I did however enjoy seeing the paranoia affecting them in the middle of the show. That whole "originals" thing started breaking down. And the way they just allowed Holly to pick a room mate and left it to the other gals to fend for themselves was lucky for Holly. She could have definitely screwed over Charla or Tara by picking Keith or Dave.
Posted by: DancnDude
This was a pretty interesting episode. Charla's lips quivering like that really showed how much she was afraid to pick Keith. But everyone knew that she really had no choice. Any other guy would have dumped Charla but Keith really knows what he is doing to get ahead in the game. And I think the other guys are beginning to realize that they are now on thin ice with the new people coming in.
Posted by: Shawkins
And what an outfit Toni chose to wear! Some cheesy-ass jumpsuit resembling prison garb. And could she have been sweating more in it? Good riddance!
Posted by: pmyers
man....that backsweat was in full effect!
Posted by: Bryanmc
My wife's been watching this and I asked her what they win and she didn't know.
Anyone know what the winner(s) get?
Posted by: pmyers
nope and neither do the guest. That's one aspect of the show I enjoy.
Posted by: marksman
It was a glorious night.... I wanted Toni to leave so bad that I hope they bring her back next week so they can kick her off again.
Does Keith remind anyone else of the guy who played Noah on 90210?
Posted by: pmyers
Do you think the guy they bring back is going to be Zach? I sure hope not!
Posted by: mask2343
Maybe it's Andon...the first guy to leave.
Two words describe Toni..."Bi" and "Polar"
Posted by: milo99
how exactly does the game get ..won? I mean, they're playing the game, but it doesn't look like the field is narrowing, sooooooo, what's the purpose?
btw, i'm a late convert to the show- caught it in the middle last week as i was flipping thru and something hooked me. dunno what. But i'm having trouble understanding why Charla is not liked by anyone- she was an original right? Was it because she's quieter/shyer than the others or something?
Shoot, from what i've been able to tell, she seems the most down to earth, not to mention the hottest :D
Posted by: pmyers
Charla is definately different than all the other girls. She's a lot more reserved and down to earth than the rest. She is an Original member.
Posted by: DancnDude
Milo99,
No one knows what the whole point of the show is and how to win (or what they are even playing for). They also like to change the rules as they go along. It's intriguing though that no one really knows what will happen since the producers havn't told them.

great show last night.
loved the red sweaty jumper toni was wearing.

Ah, thanks for clarifying. heh, loved how Keith said "first, i'd just like to say, this game sucks" . Yet its so intriguing. I guess the purpose for now is to not get booted and thats about it....
Posted by: retrodog
There can be only one,,, couple.
Well at least that's what they've been saying all along. And they are also saying that none of the contestants know this. I guess they believe that they will play for a finite period of time and just last till the end.
Charla is not a member of the original gal group cause she is not as open or bipolar as the others. More of a loner and reserved about expressing herself. So she just didn't fit in with the gals. I guess she is just dysfunctional in her own way.
As far as the name of the show, it should be changed to "Sweat Hotel" cause everyone is sweating like a pig. It must be really humid there. It certainly doesn't look comfortable anyway.
Posted by: TivoFan
Based on the previews and the way that they are saying about someone from their past I have to believe that it is Andon coming back.
What I'm really curious about is that the new people will have seen the episodes and the comments about "no one knows how it will end" and "in the end there will only be one couple". They never show them discussing that stuff so I don't know if they are forbidden from mentioning it or not. I would suspect that if they aren't that would be a big topic of conversation... that and wondering what the winners get.

Does anybody know where the place is? They make like its in Central or South America somewhere but for all we know its in LA. I suppose its in their best interest to keep the location a secret - don't want reality show junkies crawling all over the place. They did show some "city skyline" scenery this week that someone might recognize.
Posted by: JerryK
I'm thinking it's in Italy, or somewhere else in the Mediterranean. Not sure though.
Posted by: retrodog
With all those hills and beautiful views, I'm surprised they haven't told us that it's in south Florida. <shrug>
;)
Posted by: laria
Google Answers says: Casa Arabesque in Acapulco, Mexico
http://answers.google.com/answers/m...dview&id=220278
This makes sense, because it would take the host a long time to fly back and forth to Italy or the Mediterranean every week.

This show cracks me up as it has morphed though.
They dropped the live studio audience thing, perhaps as part of finishing the initial run.
The timeline was always off for this show anyways.... Now who knows how much of it is in the can?
We saw previews from NEXT week's show this past Monday. So they are at least a week ahead at this point, and I am guessing more than that.
Posted by: retrodog
Okay, same old stuff last night. The two original girls (Amy and Cristin) are acting like complete idiots. Last night's episode was the first time that I heard them acknowledge that they might not have control any longer.
The new guy is definitely bonkers. Well either he is or the monkey. :D

The next show is tomorrow (Wednesday), not next week. I'm not sure how far behind we are compared to the actual events though.

We can't be too far, since the new guy was talking to Keith about what Keith had done to shake up the foursome...unless he was just talking about it in general. I got the impression he'd seen it on tv though.

So I guess it's not really paradise at all. It's actually hell. Think about it, all the signs are there:
1. Temptation that looks like paradise.
2. Plotting against your fellow man/woman.
3. Paranoia about others.
4. Threats of violence.
5. Cheating.
6. Stealing from friends.
7. Betrayal.
8. Extreme anxiety and depression.
9. Lies and accusations.
At the same time creating an environment which breeds:
1. Pride
2. Envy
3. Gluttony
4. Lust
5. Anger
6. Greed
7. Sloth
Looks like these people ended up right in the middle of their own little hell but can't let go of it long enough to figure out the truth.

Agreed. Did you notice that she had a little of the air taken outta her sails? Her threats aren't quite as intimidating when their aimed at the ones she'd usually have backing her up.
Posted by: tms317
She must realize at this point that she's the next one gone. They got rid of Zach, the one who was keeping her on the show. Then, the only person who would possibly sacrifice themselves so she could stay (Can't believe that person was Toni) was booted. And now, Beau, the only guy left who actually was loyal to her (for no apparent reason, but ok), is gone. Who is left that will choose her over anyone else??? Tom the wacko??? She doesn't really have any friends left. I will love to see her leave next week.
And why was Holly crying over Beau and complaining about the lies? She's been pretty much left alone so far. Stop crying.
Posted by: pmyers
I love this show....but it really does need to end soon. I either need to know when or how to "win" because I'm loosing interest fast.

What a drama queen wannabe. ;)
It was interesting to see Tara pointed out as the female playing the game the most by sending Amanda home. I was wondering when someone was gonna call her on that. It was also kinda funny to see her get stuck with the "leftovers" when Keith went with Charla. I think he's planning on getting her drunk again and finally pleasing her. :D

I have been enjoying watching the clowns on the show make fools of themselves because it's been good for a laugh..but the last two shows have really pissed me off...There in a place called PARADISE HOTEL, but do they ever go in the water or sit outside, or for that fact, do anything, anymore? All we see are them talking to each other in the rooms or at the bar plotting on who is aligned with who, who should get rid of who etc.
When they do do something, we see like 2 minutes..ie the bowling, the casino night, etc. and they it's back to the room for more plotting! Also was it just me or was Alex stealing the chips planned by the producers? It was pretty funny how the cameras just happened to be on his pockets when he went to put the chips in, yeah right.
The last fun thing they have shown was the toga party...the show has gotten boring..bring on Temptation Island!
One last thing..some of the originals, plus Dave, have been at this resort for supposedly over a month now, right? How come Kristen is the only one who has actually gotten a tan?

Maybe they use a lot of sunscreen and/or stay in the shade? :) Toni was pretty tan, and Amy had a sunburn this week on her face.

Just wanted to bounce the thread back up and see if anyone had any predictions for this week's episodes. I guess they are not throwing people off on the Monday episode anymore, so we will have to wait till Wednesday. Pretty sure they are recycling the 'new' guests this week, like they did with Tom.
Posted by: muoldaar
Is this the beginning of the end now? They've done away with the live studio audience, and they're just recycling the old potential guests. We haven't seen a new face in ages!
And since only one couple will win, could it be that they're going to start eliminating couples soon? They did promise us another major twist for Wednesday's show.
Posted by: BrettStah
Another possibility would be to give the person who is kicked off the ability to another person (of the same sex) to be kicked off as well. That would allow them to decrease the number of people on the show, while preserving the alternating between male and female evictions.
Posted by: retrodog
Hey, was it on last night? If so, I missed it. Anything good happen???

Not really...they had 2 former contestants come to the hotel to become the next guest: Desiree who competed against Kavita and Lauren (?) who competed against Tara (maybe it was the other way around, either way it was Kavita and Tara's former opponents). The women got to choose this time, and they chose Desiree. Charla is alternately trying to get Keith in bed and professing how much she misses her ex-bf. She is still oblivioius that Dave is totally in love with her, and wants to go home. Desiree picked Tom to be her roommate, leaving Tara in the single room.
Posted by: nmiller855
retrodog, don't you have a season's pass set up for the show? I know we've been having bad weather passing through here & my lights have gone out a couple of times during the last few days? Did you check your recording history to see what happened?
Posted by: retrodog
Thanks laria, sounds like typical Monday night filler material. ;)
nmiller855, nope, no season pass. Not sure why. Guess I'll set one up.
Posted by: tms317
Was anyone else really hoping that Amy walked last night?
Posted by: pmyers
Boy..tonight really surprised me. Dave and Tara are masterminds. I was thinking what the hell are they doing keeping Amy until she almost walked off then I realized their genusnous ;) The only thing that they should have changed was to have made it so that it was Keith left last instead of Scott. I definately think Amy would have walked if she was facing having to room with Keith.
Posted by: DancnDude
Sure I was. I just can't believe that the King and Queen wouldn't just ditch her to begin with. She wanted to go. Were there really a majority of people that wanted Kristin to leave?

no no no..your missing it. Dave and Tara evicted Kristen hoping that Amy would walk off the show in disgust...2 for the price of 1! They almost had it too
Posted by: DancnDude
Well next week will certainly be interesting with Charla having to room with Alex. That should be good for a laugh.
Posted by: tms317
Any guesses as to why they put Charla with Alex? They know she doesn't like him...And I like the suggestion of putting Amy with Keith...
Wouldn't it worked just as well if they did:
Dave & Tara
Charla & Tom
Alex & Holly
Scott & Desiree
Keith & Amy
( bye bye Kristin)
Wouldn't Amy still have wanted to leave??
Posted by: pmyers
I'm thining they didn't want to put any of the "new girls" with Alex. That way he can't pursuade them to join up with him.
Posted by: tms317
Interesting thought.....
Posted by: milo99
i was thinking the same thing. have charla there so she can 'keep an eye on him' and so he doesn't have another person to try and convert.
Posted by: laria
I think Dave's motives were to get Charla away from Keith, since she obviously has the hots for him. :)
Posted by: Mikkel_Knight
Can anybody other than me see that it isn't necessarily Dave in control - that it's Keith and Tara that are leading things?? Keith has Tara, and he also has Charla... That leaves Dave out in the cold...
Posted by: pmyers
I still believe that if Charla had to, she'd pick Dave over Keith, if only out of loyalty for him.
Posted by: milo99

that and the fact that she can string him along as much as she wants. I sweat, that guy... argg.. he seems like a good guy, and i want him to do well on this show cuz there are just some d**ks on there, but he's just... such an f-in tool.
Posted by: Swirl_Junkie
Maybe Keith just wants him to be his puppet. Keith couldn't possibly be that bright.
I think Dave has really turned it around in recent weeks, he recruited Keith, and the masterminded it together. And Dave was the one that convinced everyone to show him the money.
Keith might have a lot of pull with Tara and Charla, but I think Tara might be moving on to Alex in the next episode.
Plus.. Keith never really hooks up with either of them. What's the deal there? He just toys with them. There have been plenty of opportunity with both of them, but they haven't really shown him taking up the girls offers.

I've been disappointed with the lack of hooking up by anyone on this show! I think Holly and Scott are the only people who have maybe actually hooked up.
Posted by: pmyers
I believe that Zach hooked up with a girl before hooking up with Amy.
Posted by: tms317
Why on earth would they bring Zach back? Almost enough reason to delete the SP (but I will secretly keep watching). I hope he's just there to stir things up and leave. If they put him back on, then there is something really unfair about the show.
Posted by: BrettStah
Since the host announced that there would be no additional people "checking in" to the hotel, my best guess is that he's coming back for a 24-48 hour stay, similarly to Amanda's boyfriend's stay.
Posted by: Tabitha573
I'm beginning to think that they may let him decide the next guy to check out of the hotel.

I think Kristen and Alex may have. We saw them going at each other several times in the pool and then they would go back to the room, but we would not see it.
But besides that, you're right, so far most of the "hooking up" has been PG stuff..making out, etc. Look at last night when Alex and Tara (and Holly for awhile) were playing pass the ice cube. After Holly left, I thought they were going to go for it, but then Alex told her they were stopping right here. What is wrong with the guys on this show? Alex stops Tara, Scott stopped Charla, Keith stopped Charla, Beau was "a gentleman" to Amanda..Andon stopped Charla, Alex stopped Toni..and on and on...what's wrong with them?
I have to laugh at Charla, she plays miss high and mighty when the other girls are acting out (Tara and Holly last night)..but she is pretty much the only one who has hit on pretty much every guy there...Andon, Keith, Zack, Scott, the singer who was there for only a week, anyone else? Her problem is she only goes after the guys when she's drunk and the guys don't want anything to do with her.

Brett, I think you are right that he'll only be there for a little while (like Amanda's bf). It would be very interesting if he got to choose who went home, but the hostess did say that it was lady's choice this week...So i'm not sure that would be fair (and, of course, he'd send Keith home). I'm pretty sure someone said this last week, but i'm starting to agree that Keith is the evil mastermind behind the newbie revolt.

my theory on people not hooking up or going all the way is due to the cameras. I wouldn't want ot be filmed doing it. Hooking up lightly, sure that's one thing, but intense hook up or sex? I'd try to think with the head on my shoulders if there's a camera around.
