Thoughts?

I enjoyed it quite a bit.

The Steve Trevor appearance was a nice added touch. They wimped out a bit with the soldiers -- they should have been more explicit about the real reason that they didn't like GL was because he was black. Also, what's with the single S symbol for the Nazis?

I was wondering that too after the shows. They also never said "Hitler" always just referred to him as "The Other Fuhrer" or something.

So that got me thinking, did they ever actually say Nazi? They mentioned the "Axis" but I can't recall now if they said Nazi.

I think that they obviously were supposed to be the Nazis, but they were afraid of using actual swatikas or the SS symbol, for fear of people complaining.

Then again, maybe that is the Nazi symbol in that world.

didn't they show a resemblance of Hitler at one time? and that guy hijacked Hitler's war, so i thought he changed insignia's for his own world domination plot.

Yeah, Hitler was on ice. :)

Generally, it was a really good show! My only complaint is something Bryan brought up, and that's that they really toned down Superman in this. He was barely able to do any damage at all to those war machines. Even punching the glass covering that guy, he couldn't break it. It's not like the glass was transparent aluminum or something (and even if it was, he should've been able to smash it).

Yep. GL is the hero in this series. Which I don't really have a problem with, GL is supposed to be very powerful with his ring. I just wish they didn't have to throttle back Supes to make GL stand out.

As it is now, Supes and Wonder Woman are just about the exact same character, just one has boobs.

When Supes was grunting while picking up an anti-aircraft gun I rolled my eyes. Please.

Hopefully one of these days Supes is going to find a little sliver of kryptonite that got under his costume somehow. That'd explain it. :D

yeah, i'm not very pleased with how they've weakened superman, in one episode wonderwoman completely beat him up, granted he was holding back but still.
granted though she is the new and improved wonderwoman, not the one i'm used to from my childhood comics (hey, i'm only 30), but still.

as to not saying 'nazi'...well, dc isn't exactly our world, metropolis doesn't exist etc.
so maybe in the dc universe they weren't known as nazi's?

though i think i remember an old comic and i'm sure it was by dc, i can't remember the title but it had characters named Liberty Bell, Doll Man, and maybe NightShade...there were other characters but i can't remember them...they were supposed to be superheros during ww2 and i'm pretty sure they explicitly fought nazi's.

in that case then i'll by into the whole 'savage took over and changed thier emblem' line of thought :)

my funniest rememberance of dollman was when he was injured in some way and some other superhero chick was carrying him around in a shoebox, pure hilarity.

From what one of the German officers said in the last episode of this, he wanted the Nazis back or something like that.

I don't read a lot of comic books. Who is Steve Trevor?

Along with everyone else I'm a little disappointed with how weak it seems Superman is. I have some 13 year old cousins and like to pick fights with them over who's stronger; Superman or Goku. Justice League cartoons are not helping me in my arguments.

I'ld like to see Superman fly through the Sun like he did in one of the recent comics and come out of it pulling two planets along with him. That'ld be sweet.

whoa!! flying thru a sun and pulling 2 planets out of it?...sheesh...i don't think even the superman i'm familiar with could do that...;)

steve trevor, you know, from the wonder woman television show...

it's odd, he was her..lover?..paramour?..during her ww2 adventures then somehow they morphed both of them into that detective agency or whatever it was.

i'm not sure if steve trevor ever actually appeared in the wonderwoman comic, i just don't remember.
