I just installed a WeaKness dual 120 gig drive upgrade kit. I have a Sony SAT T-60. I have double checked everything 15 times, it appears right. When powered up, it never gets pass the "Powering Up" screen. I have re-installed my old drive and Tivo works fine. Any ideas as to why the new drives aren't working?

Are you using the cable that we supplied with the kit or your original IDE cable? Do you still have the labels A and B on the drives? Are you sure the A drive is furthest from the power supply? Have you checked the jumpers to be sure that A is the master and B is the slave?

I have tried both the original cables and the cable you supplied. Removed your stickers but marked with pen, so drives are identified. A drive was in proper postion as well as IDE cable connect. Have done many installs on office hard drives so not a novice. Jumper setting as recieved are A drive= Vertical jumper on pins farthest from power connect. B drive= no jumper. These appear to be right according to previeou post on the board.

If you connect just the A drive, do you get 'almost there' (you can't get further without the B drive)?

No, it never goes past "powering up". The drives never spin up. I put the old drive back in and it works fine. I will return for them to look at.
