Did you try this ?

It leaves an indentation in my thumb from holding it down for a few minutes. My thumb is then white in that spot but eventually turns back to it's normal color.

Geez. Lighten up, folks. Is it really easier to do all that than just say "it currently has no function", or is it just more fun?

More fun :D

But it is kind of annoying to see this question every week when a search would find it and I do believe the Forum FAQ suggests one does a search before posting a new thread. And that is the annoying part, it seems no one does, their time is just too valuable to waste it searching, it's much easier to just post the question. IMHO

The really funny thing is that it actually says in the manual that this button is not currently used. (Check out the diagram of the remote which highlights the main buttons)

Well here, I have a better one for you, picture this then.

You're on your long awaited family vacation. You've decided to tour the United States by road. All the sights. Yellowstone. The Grand Canyon. Custer National Park. Mount Rushmore. To name a few. You pack up the car, load the wife and kids in, and you're off. Not long into the trip the kids start asking: Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?

Get the picture? :D
