Well, my box just upgraded itself to 4.0.

Most of the changes are good, but here's a few comments I'd like to pass on to Tivo re: Usability.

- Why call the recorder "TiVo DVR" in some menus (e.g. Settings)? With 3.2 it was simply called "Recorder" (e.g. "Recorder and Phone Setup"). I think "Recorder" is more approachable/understandable for the novice.

- The "For more options press (Enter)" on the Now Playing on TiVo screen is just plain ugly AND seems like a complete hack to me ... Why not have the last option in the list be "Select here for more Now Playing options" or something. People will find it (especially on new boxes with nothing in Now Playing), and the options screen tells you how to make changes instantly (e.g. Press 1 or 2, etc) so users wouldn't have to come back to the options screen every time.

- When Now Playing is in group mode, you can't see (unless you navigate into the group) the fact that some are going to expire (yellow/red dot). Solution: Change the Folder color to the "worst" of what's in the group - I.e. Red if there is a red item, Yellow if no red but a yellow, Green if only green items, some other color if no colored items in group.

I'm sure I'll find more issues, but that's just to get started!
