Tired of Rocco's? Get "Into The Fire"

(Click here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

If you like the "behind the scenes" action of Rocco's from the show "The Restaurant you might like a new show on Food Network called Into The Fire. From the Food Network website:
quote:
Into the Fire is a weekly food reality show that takes viewers behind the scenes and into the heart and heat of America’s most renowned restaurants on their busiest nights. While traditional food programming brings the professional chef into the viewer’s home, Into the Fire brings viewers directly into the home of the professional chef - the restaurant kitchen. Every week, viewers will become voyeurs in a different restaurant allowing them to embark on a thrilling rollercoaster ride through the professional culinary world.

They will have shows on:
Campanille in Los Angeles
Cheesecake Factory
Commander's Palace in New Orleans
Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas
Greenbrier, a Culinary Bootcamp, and
Trio

They'll be repeating shows throughout the rest of the summer if you missed the original airings. I read a review about the show in the L.A. Times but I can't link to the review of the show.

Thanks for the heads-up! My Great Chefs of the World SP needs replacing too. I must have seen each show like twice. :)

The Bellagio episode is incredible. I liked learning about CF too although a bit too much tooting of the horn perhaps (can the wait times for a table get any longer?).

Thanks for the heads up.. I jsut set a SP for this.. Hopefully, they will re-run everything so I can see it all.

Anybody see this yet? I watched the "Trio" and "The Chessecake Factory" episodes.

The Trio episode was especially boring. The concept of the restaurant is nice, but the behind the scenes shots did not make it interesting. I don't think I would spend the $$$$ that would be needed to dine there.

I enjoyed the one on the Cheesecake Factory. It reminded me of the early episodes of "The Restaurant". I liked how they explained all the back of the restaurant positions and what they do. It would have been nice to get definitions of some of the jargon that they used.

I saw the Chesecake Factory espiode.. Essentially, this show is a show case for the restuarant featured. They won't show anything going really wrong.. But I'll certainly keep the SP.

By the way, there have been two new episodes of this series recently.

One about the 9 Steakhouse at the Palms in LV. There appears to also be one coming up about the overpriced food at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim too.

SP still working.

I was very suprised (in a good way) to see episodes pop up on my TiVo. The SP was stil lactive, and it grabbed the re-run of the Bellagio episode (this will be nice, as it will really tempt me for pickign a restaurant there when I go to the Vegas thing), and the episode on the steak house at The Palms.

Yep, caught them both this morning. N9ne is pretty amazing and looks like a sure bet on my next trip to Vegas.

I watched the Bellagio one again as well, I'm still amazed how well the F&B at that hotel is run.

I was also surprised to see it pop up on the list. I hadn't thought about the show in a little while. I enjoyed seeing the n9ne episode.
