color jittering?

Hi,
I haven't upgraded my tivo yet, I'm about ready to, saw the strangest problem this morning, while watching a recorded NFL preseason game from yesterday, the color seemed to jump and eventually went all black and white? Have no idea why this would be, I checked the cable connections since that is usually a good place to start, and they all seemed tight. Even the green status bar that shows at what point you're in in the show was b/w. I went to live tv, and it was still b/w. I rebooted the tivo and when it came back up, it was fine, I resumed watching the show, but about 10 minutes into it, it seemed to have the same problem. I switched to live tv, and after about 2 minutes or so, and switching channels, all color seems normal now. Could this be a failing hard drive? This unit is only a week old, but I did open it to look at the layout. If I go ahead with the upgrade, is it possible this won't happen again? Is it at all possible something flaky with that particular recording, but why would the green status bar and the tivo menu's and such be b/w? I have the direcTivo DSR7000?

John did you find anything out about this? Mine is about two weeks old and it started doing it as well.

Does anyone know what causes this?
