Tivo Problems

Hi.
I upgraded my Tivo last year using MFS 1.1. My stock config was 30gig unit. I replaced the A drive and added a B drive. Both drives are WD 60GB 5400 drives.
A few weeks ago I woke up and found that both of my Tivo units were locked up and it looks like it occured during the the daily call. My second Tivo is a upgraded Sony unit.
Anyways, my 1st Tivo seems to be having problems now, it locks up alot and it seems to be getting worse. I have to unplug the power to the unit to reboot it, the 2nd unit doesn't seem to be having any issues at all.
I have no clue what the problem is unless one of the drives is going bad or when the daily call locked up the unit it messed it up bad?
any feedback would be great
Thanks,
Dilbertic
PS: I might just low level format the drives and reinstall the image......

You shouldn't have to low level the drives. I had to restore the backup image to my A drive a week ago when a power failure screwed up the Hughes box. I just did the restore to the drive. Like you, I used MFS Tools 1.1 originally. I had someone suggest to use MFS Tools 2.0 this time. I did that and then used mfsadd to expand it out to the 40+80 gig setup. All is well now.
Anyway... unfortunately, it does sound like your best recourse is to restore the backup image.
