Hello iam a newbi. Sorry if i have not gotten all the info i need yet.

Turbo Net- This unit uses my Lan to make its calls to Tivo and not DTV?

Do i have to set up an account with DTV to get my Tivo part working?

Can i just set up a Tivo account if i use turbonet?

I talked with Dtv and they would not let me know if my unit had a life time set up with tivo. My friend that i got my t60 from thinks he set it up with the lifetime. But he was not sure. He didnt ues the unit but a couple of days.

any answers would be great.

Hi,

If you don't have a lifetime sub then you will need to call DTV and tell them you have a tivo... they will charge an extra $5 to your existing bill and all will be well.

If you have a lifetime sub then it should just work - no need to call.

Turbonet allows the tivo to make the same daily call to the same servers as it otherwise normally does with a phone line. It is most useful if you don't have a phoneline or you want to run other cool stuff on your tivo like tivoweb.
