WebTV upgrade

I have a WebTV Dishnetwork receiver that uses some form of TiVo. It has 14 hours of recording time. I would like to upgrade the HD, but so far I have been unsuccessfull. I have been using mfstools 2.0. The mfsbackup and mfsadd commands error out. What kind of beast do I own, and can I upgrade it?

Dishplayer is a completely different beast, not even remotely related to TiVo. You can't use the TiVo tools to upgrade that. I don't know what you can use to upgrade - I don't even know if it can be done. Sorry.

Of course you can upgrade it. Throw it out and get a TiVo :)

Huh? Who told you that? DishPlayer's software was developed by Microsoft while TiVos run Linux. As the original member replying stated, "Whole different beast".
