Use the digits for menu selections

Suggestion:
Accept the use of the number keys as menu choices. Remote #1 as menu choice #1, etc... That way I won't have to continue clicking down down down... only to have Tivo delay on one because I'm pressing the remote to quickly and I miss the correct choice because I also press right arrow while waiting for Tivo to catch up.

Funny no one has thought of this great idea before. http://www.avsforum.com/ubbtivo/wink.gif

Hah, I should have known it was suggested already. http://www.avsforum.com/ubbtivo/smile.gif
We really need an FAQ/RFC of the suggestions already posed (which has been suggested already too). Something nice and clean (one line suggestions) with more detail later down the FAQ.
Has anyone done one of these yet?
If Tivo really wanted to keep the tech people happy, they would allow for a development package where you could develop for the Tivo and you could run your own menus and macros, etc. Of course they couldn't provide support for modified Tivos, but having something for developers would be really cool. They would have even more loyalty and keep techies happy if we could just do some of these suggestions ourselves. Just think of it - A whole set of mods out there we could pick and choose from. http://www.avsforum.com/ubbtivo/smile.gif
The one main reason I bought a Tivo was because I found hack pages which would allow me to add my own inexpensive hard disk to increase space. I didn't find the same thing for the ReplayTV.
