So last night I watched While You Were Out and noticed that Theresa Strausser was no where in sight. It was very strange and I do not like the new host, some guy I have never seen. Where did she go? She actually adds levity to the show and is pretty funny when she ad libs. Does anybody have any ideas??

No ideas, but I'm suckered into watching that show every Saturday/Sunday - and have actually grown to appreciate it. TLC's been making a lot of changes/additions to their redecoration shows from carpenters to hosts. Perhaps the shows popularity is bring the popular people grander opportunities.

I actually like Theresa too. She's pretty witty. I hope she's not gone for good. You'd think they'd explain stuff like that. I got the impression the new guy is some formal teen idol from a comment Amy Wynn (sp?) made and a T-shirt she had with his face on it.

On her Web site -- http://www.teresastrasser.com -- she says goodbye to WYWO and mentions that the travel just got to be too much.

Apparently, there are about a half-dozen "Teresa" episodes in the can, which TLC will be running this fall. But it looks like the new guy -- who I really don't like any better than Theresa's predecessor, Anna -- is here to stay.

The combination of the new host and the "hip" music was a bit jarring, but I'll probably keep watching it.

P.S. to jahloysius. It's Leslie Segretti (sp?). Amy Winn Pastor is on Trading Spaces. They do kind of look the same though. I thought it was hillarious watching her run around the yard "showing off" the tshirt.

Segrete was in STL this past weekend for an appearence. The STL P-D did an article on her last week:

For the second season, she expects that she'll spend 253 days on the road! Woah!

What I don't get is that supposedly WYWO is based on the BBC's House Invaders, which is nothing like WYWO.. it's more like Ground Force concept.
