Nothing To Add

Forgive me if this has been covered but can't find it anywhere. When upgrading from a (previously upgraded) 80Gb Samsung drive to a new 120Gb Samsung drive I initially tried the backup/restore method but this said there wasn't enough room (actual message "source drive size is 30 hours - upgraded to 44 hours, - upgraded to 79 hours, uncompressed backup size 61091 Mb, restore failed backup target not large enough for entire backup by itself). This confused me as the drive was showing happily as 120Gb.
I then tried using the DD method to copy the original drive (fine) and MFSADD -x option to use thextra space. This just reported 79 hours nothing to add.
Any help gratefully received

You already have 15 partitions on the drive. There are only 16 slots in the partition table, and each upgrade adds 2 partitions.

Hmm - guess I must have missed that bit in the Hinsdale HowTo. Would I be able to add a completely new 2nd drive or is the partition limit across all drives in the 'set'?

The limit is six MFS partition pairs in total, so you should be able to add a B drive, although I have seen posts with people reporting problems doing that, so good luck!
