Fast Forward to Fall TV With Zap2it.com
2003-08-27 15:06 (New York)

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Aug. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Zap2it.com
( http://www.Zap2it.com ) is getting a jump-start on the 2003-2004 TV season
with new features and games for TV fans. Today, Zap2it.com launches an
exhaustive Fall Preview, covering all the upcoming network and cable
offerings. In addition, Zap2it will also give users a chance to weigh in on
the fall season with the Zap2it Dead Pool and Zap2it's Showdown of the Network
Stars. Finally, would-be TV moguls can program their own network in a new
game from Fantasy TeeVee.

-- Tuesday, August 26 - Complete descriptions for all the new fall shows
are just the tip of the iceberg. Zap2it's Fall Preview also offers
features, reviews, photo galleries, all the relevant breaking news and
video, along with polls and message boards for reader feedback.

-- Friday, August 29 - When a show is popular, it lives on indefinitely in
syndication. When a show tanks, it lives in infamy as part of Zap2it's
Dead Pool. This year, a selection of North America's top TV critics
help handicap the Pool, where readers get a chance to make their
predictions of which new shows will get moved, put on hiatus or flat
out cancelled first.

-- Monday, September 8 - "Alias'" Jennifer Garner won last year, but who
will it be this time? Zap2it's Showdown of the Network Stars takes a
page from one of the most exciting events in sports, the NCAA college
basketball championships. Using the popular 64-team bracket, users can
determine the king (or queen) of the TV heap through several rounds of
voting. Votes can be cast for a favorite star, or a strategic vote for
the competition can help eliminate a competitor.

Zap2it.com has also partnered with Fantasy TeeVee for a new fantasy-sports
style game modeled around weekly television programming. The partnership
creates a Zap2it branded Fantasy TeeVee game directly accessible to Zap2it's
two million unique users.
Zap2it.com users can create a fictitious TV network and launch shows they
create and cast with some of today's most popular TV stars. Then players can
track their results over a 6-week period, while competing against other
amateur TV honchos.
Zap2it.com ( http://www.Zap2it.com ), a division of Tribune Media Services
(TMS), is the first entertainment destination site to provide local TV program
listings, movie showtimes, national entertainment-focused news and editorial,
and online event information in one convenient location.
