mfsrestore stuck at 10.79%?

I'm doing a mfsrestore -s 127 -zpi /mnt/dos/tivo.bak /dev/hdb to a new 120 gig hdd and its seems to be stuck looping at "Restoring 88 of 816 megabytes (10.79%) (changing compression)"
anyone seen anything like this? this has been doing this for about 15 mins and tis still going.

also during the mfsbackup is stopped at "Backing up 384 of 816 megabytes (47.06%)" for awhile then just to 648 megabytes 71% then went on and finished. is this normal?

Pauses are OK, but 15 minutes means there is a problem. Have you tested the hard drive to which you are restoring? Is it new?

I got the restore to work fine by using another hdd as the C drive to hold the tivo.bak file. Looks like the hdd that i was using it bad.
