Tried to restore tivo backup, got to 70% then error "sudden end of backup data".
seems like corrupted file.
anyone knows where i can get it sent to me on cdr?

Is the file the same size as the one on the server?

Whilst downloading it reported 277MB, took several hours, only showed 45.6MB on my HDD, i assumed this was a compressed file. what size is a virgin backup?

It was compressed before it was posted on the server. The file you download should be identical in all respects to the on the server.

Hope you've got a resuming FTP client!

I don't know of anyone who offers CD-Rs these days. I think Gary's FAQ still lists Rob and Trever as possible sources, but we haven't heard from either of them in ages.

BTW, the image you tried to download should have been in the region of 345Mb. If you only have a normal dial-up connection then its going to take 12-24 hours to download.
