As you are probably all aware wireless phone points (such as those made by Thomson) which plug into mains sockets don't work with the latest version of Tivo software.

For some reason they worked with the original software and this has been discussed at length in previous threads. Well I've just upgraded to broadband so have put a filter socket on my BT outlet. Surprisingly my Tivo now quite happily connects via my Thomson plug in adapter wheras it never did before despite my Sky box being quite happy with it.

I suggest you try it but don't ask me to explain the technical reasons for this!!!!
