Hello everyone...
I hope that I haven't overlooked some obvious post regarding my question, but I've read the TiVo codes posts, and I can't seem to find how to do this.
All I want to do is to turn on the 30-second jump function on my remote. I have an 80 Hour Series2 TiVo with v4 software. I have the code S-P-S-3-0-S. Now, what do I do with it? I've gone to "Search by Title" and entered the code and pressed "Thumbs UP" to no avail. Am I doing something wrong? Does this code not work on a S2 TiVo?
I'm a total newbie, so have patience... lol.
Thanks,
Matt

No problem. The button to the lower right of your VCR controls, that looks like "->|" is now a 30 second jump.

Hi... thanks for your reply. My problem is that the button that you mentioned is NOT now a 30 second jump button; it still is jumping to the end of a selection. I'm trying to turn it into the 30-sec jump button.

Enter the code while playing back something you recorded. You should hear three tones, That means you were successful.

Matt -
I just did this on my DirecTV Tivo box last night. You just need to be watching live TV or a recorded program I believe. You will hear the 3 tones as Scott mentioned.

It's not a "Search by Title" code, and the 'S' and 'P' are just abbreviations. You have to start a program playing, then press "Select", "Play", "Select", '3', '0', "Select".
