Hi!,

Has anyone experienced a case of a UK Thompson TIVO which has always, since being purchased, refused to output an RGB signal to a RGB-capable TV, EVEN when the TIVO is configured correctly (correct PAL & RGB setting, Re-booted)

The TIVO is running 2.5.5 updated software, and if AUX Bypass is engaged via the remote-Control, RGB Signals from a I-Player Freeserve Set Top Box are passed through the TIVO, to the TV OK, but otherwise the TV Screen is left blank.

Composite Video is not effected, and is fed to the TV as usual.

Anyone experienced these problems, and knows a solution??

Have you got SCART control switched off?

(in case that's ambiguous - you must have scart control turned on for RGB to work)

YIPEEE....

Problem solved!

I have engaged scart control in the TIVO setup menu, rebooted the TIVO, and hey-presto, the TIVO now output's an RGB Signal to my TV!

Thanks to you all for your help - even TIVO customer services did not know the answer to this problem - they advised me of a possible hardware fault.
