I would like to purchase a second Tivo (or other PVR) to manually record projects that I have edited and produced via Camcorder/Adobe Premiere. In other words, I'd like to use my second Tivo as a Video Server / scheduled recorder.

There currently does not appear to be a way to manually record via the Tivo SVHS/Stereo Inputs and create your own file name based on what you have recorded. A thread that I read in this forum inferred that this might be part of the Version 2 release. Can anyone confirm this feature or suggest an alternative ?

you can do that. if you want to use s-video then tivo has to be setup for either sat or cable with a box. then you change the connection to recorder to however it is inputted (i.e. s-video, composite or coax). plug the device into the input you selected and every channel that tivo tunes to will be the device. you can then set up a manual recording for any channel and it will record what you want.
