Can someone point me in the right direction of how I can replace my current image and replace it with a 3.0 I don't care about the data. Recently brought a tivo from ebay (ptv 100) and the unit will not dial out I have tried ppp over serial, external modem with a cable I made. With each try it will dial, connect and fail service not answering. What I want to do is blow it away and start from scratch. I'm stuck at the setup screen even when I turn it off and turn it back on. I went to 9th tee web site an got a 3.0 backup.

Please I need help

It's not likely your software image is your problem. With your external modem setup try slowing down the connection speed between the TiVo and the modem. I.E. in the prefix window I think I'm using ,#319 but there are other settings to try.

When I put ,#319 preparing=done,dialing=failed no blinking lights on modem. When I put in ,#219 preparing=done, dialing=done, connecting=failed and I have short blinking lights on modem

Have you tried hooking the modem up to your computer and communicating to it with hyperterminal? Also does it have a little speaker in it , can you hear it dialing out?
