New to Tivo and wireless networking. I picked up a D Link DI-614 router and DWL 120 adapter. Seems like the router is running fine, but I can't establish the connection with the adapter. Someone help me please

The DWL 120 doesn't work with the TiVo, there is a list at http://customersupport.tivo.com/tiv...m#OtherWireless

It's listed as an adapter that Does Work

Some versions of the DWL 120 do work. Does the one that you purcahsed have a version letter (A, B, C, D) or a Plus sign after it (i.e. DWL 120+)? What are the first three numbers in your TiVo service number?

it has a plus sign and the numbers are 240

I was afraid of that. The DWL 120+ is not compatible with TiVo DVRs. From what I have heard, it uses an "enhanced" version of the 802.11B networking standard that is supposed to allow faster speeds, but also makes it incompatible with other standard 802.11B networking equipment. I am actually working on updating the article on the website to clarify that. For now, you will need to obtain an adapter that is on the list (make sure that it is the the exact model listed).

Returned the D-link and picked up a Linksys adapter. Much easier, but it says it cant play my music. It recognizes it, but I get the clock and eventually a message that says the network is busy. My Pics are fine and the test connection worked. Any ideas

That is odd. What kind of signal strength are you getting? Have you tried playing individual MP3 songs in addition to the playlists? You might try a few different songs to make sure it's not just a corrupted one.

You might want to check out this article for more things to try:

Make sure the music is in a format that the TiVo can read.
