TiVo removed my DISH channels!

...But a reboot got them back.
Strangest thing I've ever seen my unit (S1, 130hr, backdoors on, 30 sec skip on, sort in NP on) do.
Wife calls me at work yesterday morning. Live TV won't display Disney channels for my daughter. Hmm, is Live guide sorted properly to display all? Yes. Well, that's weird, I'll check it when I get home.
She calls back because TiVo asks for parental code to watch a previously recorded episode of "The Wiggles." Curiouser and curiouser -- it appears that TiVo didn't have info on the show and/or channel to know that it shouldn't apply the parental controls.
Come home and go to channels I receive (I use Dish w/locals) and find that TiVo is missing channels 169-449! That's Disney, HBO's and a ton of others. How could this be? I know for a fact that it recorded HBO-W Sex and the City at Midnight Monday. At 3:20-something a.m. it successfully completed a call. Somehow that call caused channels above 168 and below 450 to simply disappear from the lineup! (they weren't listed in favorite channels either, and no "TiVo message" came through saying xxx - xxx channels were removed/have changed).
So, thinking TiVo/Tribune may have changed the headend channel listings inadvertently I proceed to do two things: initiate a new call on TiVo and on separate line call customer care.
Customer Care said they saw I successfully completed a call that morning and that their headend info showed channels 169-449 appearing in the lineup, so they didn't know what the problem was. Their solution? (drum roll).......Re-do guided setup! What a shocker that they would suggest that  So I got a case number and thought I would simply wait and post a note here at the forum to see what's what before redoing setup (which is a real PITA).
In the meantime, the new call completes and going back in immediately afterward, I see no change -- channels are still missing. So, next step is a reboot (hey customer care guys, ever think of offering that up before asking folks to redo GS?). Restart and go to check channels and channels 169-449 are back, with those I've selected retaining their checked off status both in Channels I receive as well as Favorite channels.
Did a cursory search and hadn't seen this problem mentioned, but wanted to post it in case others run in to something similar. Weird.
