I think I have seen this posted before but a search yielded nothing.
Sat-T60 dual, imaged to a single, restored to a larger single. Did the clear and delete then when it goes into satellite dish setup it stops at 28% on the confirming setup display. I have tried to do only one sat and just a round all with no luck.
What went wrong.

This is usually caused by a stronger signal on the second feed than the first. Do this.
1. goto to signal strength meter (you may have to unplug it to get it reboot)
2. check the signal on transponder 2 and 6. If the 2nd has a stronger signal switch the leads and check it again. If the first now has a stronger signal continue with setup. If taht is not the problem or it locks again Do this.

1. Unhook both leads and and reboot. This will force an error instead of a lock up. Once you have the error rehook the leads and click "continue I'll fix later". It will then go into the download from satelite. You SHOULD be fine now.

The problem appeared quite recently and seems to affect all DTiVoes. The assumption is that there's a problem at the head end.

However, disconnecting the sats as you describe fixes it.
