Hi everyone!

Tami has graciously set up a league for us at Scurvy Dog in this thread.

I'm signed up and ready to go!

For those of you wishing to play an additional game, similar to the one we played last year at survivor-challenge, Smiles and I have created a site for us.

Reality Challenge

To join, you must register and then click the link in your validation email.

Once you are logged in via the email link, click Play the Game and you will be taken to the betting site.

You may have to log in again, using the username and password you just created.

Click Join a League and choose TiVo Community. There is no password required.

For those of you who like to play without using any spoilers, there's also a league called "The Anti-Spoiler League" You may join both TC leagues, but if you join the no spoiler league PLEASE honor the rule of not using spoiler info to make your picks. You will only make one set of picks, and your score will be the same in any leagues you are in.

If you would like to make a league for other friends, feel free to do so. You can create a private league and choose a password if you want.

We hope to offer games for other shows in the future as well. The site is a work in progress, and will be tweaking it over the next few weeks. If you have problems please let us know.

There is also a forum there for Survivor talk, so feel free to stop by!

Do the spoiler sites tell you exactly what happens each episode before it airs? If so, how can you have a game with spoilers?

The spoiler sites really have no more information than anyone else. They disect previews and other information in mainstream media to speculate.

Occasionally someone will come along and will have some information that is not available, but it's usually very sketchy, and sometimes flat out wrong. Someone will claim to have taken a vacation and talked to the natives who said "a tall woman with bleached blond hair was kicked off maybe the third or fourth week" (that's NOT a spoiler, I just made that up as an example). A lot of what they say can fit any number of scenarios and they will claim they had it right all along...

One of the true spoilers last year though was a betting site that said there was some unusual activity on a final two pair - the pair was so outrageous we all laughed... Turns out it was right.

So, no, the spoiler sites tell you who they *think* is going to be voted off based on sketchy information and the previews - but they are often wrong.

cello, it looks like you hadn't validated your registration by logging in using the link the the validation email. I went ahead and valdiated you, so you should be all set. Let us know if you still have a problem. :)

oh, I could see the forums before. I just couldn't find any links to join leagues. But I just posted there. I thought I found something that let me join a league, but it didn't seem to be informative, or tell me what joining the league entails, or how to make picks, or anything. So I'm still confused. I need remedial help. :)

Edit - nevermind, all figured out. :)

So Dan203 didn't join the league, he just put in his picks. If he joins now will his picks join with him? They don't get reset or anything do they?

loopey, we put Dan203 in the TC league and his points will count. :)

Just so you all know, it's set up so that if you join a league after the season has started, the points you've already earned won't count in your score for that league. That's to keep someone with a high score in one league from jumping into another league late in the season and winning.

But this week for cases like Dan203's we don't mind fixing you up. :D

I somehow managed to screw up my picks last week... I thought the "who will be booted" question had 100 pts to wager, so I only put 100 on Nicole... :(

Thanks John! You're doing well on the scurvydog though! I went to school with a guy *exactly* like Rupert. It's like watching my old friend on Survivor because the two think very much alike.. even have some of the same physical attributes and ideals. It's uncanny!

What's really funny is that AFAIK, I have voted identically in the two leagues! LOL! They must weigh the answers much differently, and of course the questions are different too. :)
