Excellent. This show just keeps getting better and better. I will miss it (and them) when it is gone.
The blurting out of I Love You was a gem. Women burst into tears all over the country!

And people like me said "It's about Frelling Time" or some such variant.

Just wondering if anyone has their Sex in the City cut off on the last minute? Or any trouble with HBO East's schedule in general?
I know all about padding but for the most part the networks have been on time with shows. SitC was the only show so far that I've actually had clipped off due to running late (luckily I was recording Carnivale too so hooah I got the last few minutes of SitC attatched to it :) )
Oh well, I have padded my future HBO shows just in case..

Too bad Careys new love interest is the worst character ever. What women finds an OLD man that is crazy attractive?
I like the whole Miranda storyline. Otherwise the other 3 characters have lost me.
Carey: I have and always will think of her as the uncommiting b@tch that couldn't commit to Adian. He was too good for her and she still screwed it up. Selfish fashion accident waiting to happen b@tch.
Charlotte: It scares me people like her actually exist. Selfish, self-centered, lives in her own world idiot.
Samantha: Was ok before but now she is just a emotional bag of STD's!
Miranda: Has issues but not more than the average. A real person.

Hey...I strive to be as idealistic as Charolette...and Miranda...she's 'real' and I like that (I want to have her place and her job soon!

Yeah I have to pad SitC as well, but only on the Sunday night premiere of a new episode. If I record the replay it works out fine, so I think they put more HBO original series cheese on the Sunday night showings. :::shrug:::
Thank God for padding, I did fumble around for a few weeks thinking it was always a minor schedule overrun but it appears to be a chronic problem for premieres.

I think Carrie is going to get a "culture upgrade" from dating Alexander so that she'll be in Big's league when they bring him back again.

Hey LlamaLarry,
Thanks a bunch for that insight! I will definitely keep that in mind when planning any future capturing.
Now that you mention it I do see your point -- there is often a lot of horn blowing and "Aren't you glad you're an HBO subscriber? We like, rule and stuff" on premiere nights. No problem with that though -- they definitely are one of the best content providers out there. I will pad my sundays away :)
Personally I feel that SitC has gone downhill in this past season (please don't kill me?! :)), I just feel alot of what happens now is retreading previous issues and I feel where once the characters were fully defined they are now... muddy. Maybe it's just me, I feel the same way about the last season of the Sopranos. Kind of like, okay, we've done everything with these characters, now what?
Having said that.. ahem.. I enjoyed last night's episode immensely. So, uh, there, don't kill me, pretty please with sugar on top.

I love this show. I am going to miss it until January, and miss it even more when it is gone for good.
I thought Carrie was much better dressed for this episode than the last few.
Samantha's hair dye incident made me laugh.

All I can say is... "Poor Charolette."

My wife was screaming at the TV because Miranda gave up "super hottie" Blair Underwood for "Steve the loser."

This episode didn't affect me in nearly as positive a way.
Carrie and Alexander seem so stilted. Maybe they will warm up to each other. I happen to think that Carrie and Big, no matter how ill-fated the coupling, should somehow work. That would be the best ending.
Charlotte - As soon as she blurted out she was pg. my husband and I knew she was going to miscarry. You never tell anyone before 6 weeks. That's just a general rule.
Steve is a dope and Miranda was doing so well with her new Doctor. Oh well.
The best part of this episode was definitely Samantha. I was yelling at the screen, "Tweeze! Just tweeze! Do it! No! Not the dye!"
It was like Bozo the Clown "down under"

I lost the last couple seconds, and having already watched and deleted Carnivale, I missed hearing what Carrie said that Barishnokov "tasted like." Was it cherries (from the tea)?
Seems to me that 3 out of 4 of these women are dating well out of their league. Miranda and Blair Underwood? Come on! Samantha and a CK model? Carrie and Barishnokov (who is apparently considered a hottie still with a lot of women)? Only Charlotte is dating someone realistic, and if anything, she could probably do better!
I guess it is all just a way to get a bunch of guest stars involved.
I hope we see more of Steve's drunkard of a mother. That's an train wreck waiting to happen.
The scary clown part was funny.

Yep! She said he tasted like Black Cherries.

This was a really good episode, except for the Alexander scenes. They have ZERO chemistry. Go Miranda and Steve! Great scene.

I agree the Alexander scenes with Carrie were with NO chemistry. He is WAY to old for her. Hopefully he 'won't be back in January and they better close the show with Carrie and Big together IMO.

Don't hold your breath...the girl Carrie is based on in real life (I forget her name)...is really married to a Russian dancer...

IMO, Carrie will end up with Alexander. Why? Because he's the first to show her a side of life she hasn't yet seen. He's artistic and well travelled, he's deep and sincere. Considering all the guys she's dated, I think the storyline will reveal that Alexander is the first to actually intimidate and exhilirate her. Yes he's older, but the storyline of her meeting an atypical man who's somewhat "larger than life" seems to fit in the final season of this series.
Having her end up with Big, IMHO, would be a huge letdown. Why? Because deep in our hearts, we'll all know that they'd end up divorced in 2 years.

That's Candace Bushnell. She's the author of the original book, "Sex and the City." The fact that she recently married a Russian dancer certainly makes it a cute little storybook ending for Carrie to end up with a character played by Mikhail Baryshnikov, a Russian dancer himself. In interviews, the producers (and Candace) have said that there's no connection, it's a coincidence, but I think they're just trying to throw us off from the scent...

Funny, I was screaming at the TV because Steve was giving up the piece of A__ for Miranda!
