Good news for those of us who love this show.

Only bit of bad news is that we probably won't see new eps until next summer (well not that bad).

Good news, I was wondering about that with Showtime's track record.

Good news! Thanks for the heads up.

Do we have a date for Six Feet Under's season opener, yet?

I finally get a show back on Showtime. WooHoo! I still miss Hoop Life from a few years ago.

Horray! Good for showtime!

OMG ... this is, i think, the first show that I've liked that made it past 1 season .. in, like, 2 years !!!

I couldn't be any happier after what SHO did to “Going to California”, “Leap Years” and “Odyssey 5” I was not very optimistic for a second season.

Thank God!

Phew....

<---Wipes sweat off brow.

I know how you feel...My husband and I were beginning to think we were killing the shows. Then when John Ritter died we said " OMG, now we're killing the actors too!"

I really liked Leap Years, and was disappointed when it was canceled. I've recently started watching Dead Like Me (after reading good things on this board) and was wondering whether it would stick around. Great!

Showtime must be good at making shows. I only got Showtime about a month or two before Dead Like Me started, and if it wasn't for seeing ads for Dead Like Me and it looking like an interesting show, I'm not sure I'd be watching Showtime at all. If they had cancelled it after I got hooked, they'd have a hard time getting me to watch anything other than a movie every once in a while.

I can't wait for new episodes! (Even though it will probably be quite a while).

Great news about the show being renewed but how long do you suppose Mandy Patinkin will stick around? It seems like he always gets tired of doing whatever he's doing after a short time and moves on.

Maybe that's a good aspect of a cable short season--he only has to show up for a few weeks a year, and won't have time to get bored! :D

Interesting question, especially considering that "moving on" is a fundamental concept and major plot device. :)

I think DLM could survive the loss of any character, except of course for George.

So is this season over then? I've watched every episode including the most recent "day off" episode. Was that one the finale?

DLM is my favorite show on tv right now, beating out Enterprise and South Park. I'm not a big fan of the blonde girl, though. I hope she figures out that someone loved her has a revelation then walks off into a bright hollywood light. I'm glad Herbig is gone, at least. I dig all of the other characters.

This coming Friday is the season finale. And according to the logline ("While George tries to get her old job back, her family prepares to visit her grave"), we're not through with Happy Time--which I suspected all along. They wouldn't spend all that money and energy on sets and characters, just to drop Happy Time for good (note they went back last week).

Yes but... I was just hoping it wouldn't carry over to season two.
