Geez, what a wimpy resolution to last season's cliffhanger. :rolleyes: The SP stays, but the show gets watched only if there's absolutely nothing else worth watching.

I should have stopped watching long ago... But it's like a train wreck... you have to tune in to see how stupid Lucy is going to act this week.

And actually Lucy was the sane one this episode.

I felt like I was watching the world's cheeziest Soap Opera when the parents (whose names escape me at the moment) were fighting.

I also love how the new pastor and Cher from the TV version of Clueless (man I forgot everyone's name today!) are now switching roles for getting married. Uhhh, haven't they only been dating for 6 months?

In last season's finale, everybody except Eric had driven off to some restaurant. Eric was about to leave when the police lieutenant and the church deacon came to the door and said, "There's been an accident" and looking clearly like someone had died. All of the summer teasers indicated that the accident had been fatal.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)

Turns out Simon was driving and he hit and killed his friend Justin's brother, who was riding a bike without a helmet and came out of nowhere. The clear implication that a Camden family member had died was completely misleading.

I agree completely. how did simon not know he hit someone? isn't this a hit and run? why isn't he going to prison? it definitly didn't make sense. I think they changed their mind during the summer break.

Ummm....they never said that he didn't know that he had hit the person...

Your right, I should have rephrased that better. In the season finale Eric and Simon are together and the police show up at the door. I guess I'm trying to understand when simon hit the kid. everyone else had left and they were still there. didn't he hit the kid on the way over to dinner? Or was it after they left dinner? if it was before they went to dinner then when did it happen? It's pretty confusing to me anyway.

I haven't seen it since last season, but I don't remember Simon being in the house with Eric. It was pretty clear to me then that they wanted you to think that Simon was killed in the accident when the cop showed up at the door.
