Babylon 5 Last 2 episodes Spoil this for me!

I missed the last 2 eps somehow. My TIVO hated them or something. What happens? Do any of the old characters pop up? It seems like it fizzled? What happens with Mullorri or Gakar? Where does Sherridan end up? Did Marcus die when he gave life to Ivanova? I thought he might just be in a coma? What about Veer?

I'm not sure what episodes you're on (sounds like the end of season 4), but you might want to go look at The Lurker's Guide for complete story summaries for all episodes, and lots more (including the spelling of the characters' names).

The lurkers guide to B5 is your friend...more detail than you want to know

In the final esp one of the old characters does indeed show up...

When B5 was on live and there was no such thing as Tivo, just a VCR with many schedules and an RCA DirecTv receiver with just as many schedules, the Lurkers Guide was THE place to catch up on missed episodes. Ah, the drama of waiting for any rumors about season 5... Anyway, glad to see it's still up.

OK. Here's what happens to everyone:
Lyta - goes off w/ G'Kar to find peace (not certain what eventually happens)
G'Kar - goes off w/ Lyta, though he ends up dying on Centauri Prime killing Londo - out of friendship!
Londo - emperor on Centauri Prime, controlled by keepers. Frees Sheridan and Delenn. Asks G'Kar to kill him.
Delenn - has son David, lives 100 years after the founding of the InterSteller Alliance.
Sheridan - gets captured on Centauri Prime but escapes w/ Londo's help. Lives 20 years after the founding of the InterSteller Alliance. Disappears into a ball of light to join Lorien and the other ancient ones beyond the rim.
Lennier - betrays Sheridan, dies at some point.
Vir - becomes emperor of Centauri Prime after Londo and G'Kar kill each other.
Garibaldi - has a kid w/ Lise and runs Edgars/Garibaldi Enterprises.
Marcus - frozen for nobody knows how long.
B5 - ship is destroyed after being decommissioned after 25 years.
Franklin - becomes head of InterSteller Alliance Xenobiology lab.
Ivanova - becomes a high-ranking general in EarthForce. Then retires to become Ranger 1 - Entil zha veni! - We live for the one, we die for the one.
(anyone else you want to know about?)

I'm surprised nobody mentioned The Lurker's Guide.
I don't have the URL handy, but you can probably get it off Google...

You know... I think there used to be a resource on line called "The Lurker's Guide". I'm not sure if it's still around, but it was loaded with all sorts of information :)
:p

That was Lyta Alexander (the telepath). She went away with G'Kar.

I'm pretty sure that Ivanova took command of a Warlock* destroyer between season 4 and 5. Which is why she isn't on Babylon 5 in the 5th season.
Not exactly a deep space explorer ship, but certainly out of the way :)
*The new class of earth alliance destroyers coming out at the end of the shadow wars, earth's first warship with artificial gravity (i.e. not zero-g and no spinning section). There were a couple on screen during the TNT movie 'A Call to Arms'

If you poke around sci-fi.com I'm pretty sure you can find the lurker's guide .

G'Kar - goes off w/ Lyta to find a piece (still not certain what eventually "happens")
:D
man she is gorgeous
ok, /hormones off
While we are on the subject, has anyone been following the "drama" of the show's revival? Seems Jerry Doyle (Garibaldi) would like to bring the show back and had been "talking it up." JMS finally responded in a newsgroup post and Jerry was not pleased...
From Ign Filmforce:
quote:
Babylon 5 Revival Follow-Up
Jerry Doyle speaks out regarding plans for a B5 revival. And JMS responds!
September 09, 2003 - Week before last, we ran an interview with Babylon 5 actor Jerry Doyle, within which we discussed possible movement on a revival of the series with the original castmembers.
On the B5 moderated newsgroup, Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski responded to fan queries about these developments, essentially refuting Doyle's statements regarding discussions of a revival.
You can read the entirety of Mr. Straczynski's newsgroup posting here .
When contacted for a follow-up, Mr. Doyle provided the following response to Mr. Straczynski's statements:
I'm not one for chat rooms or newsgroups, but this was brought to my attention by numerous people, and here's my response…
F*** Joe and his typical controlling bull****.
I guess Doug Netter hasn't been talking to me or the "radio guy" or whoever. I guess Doug didn't send demographics and related data to the "radio guy". I guess Doug is lying when he told me he's had conversations with the "radio guy" and that Joe already has some ideas on paper. I guess I didn't fly out to Chicago to meet with the "radio guy" in the middle of August. Oh by the way, the "radio guy", he's the NUMBER ONE syndicator in the country and has strong ties to the head of Fox. I guess that's something else I made up.
Joe can say what he wants. He can spout his crap about how "he's the man" around which all things B5 spin. At least I'm still trying to bring back what should never have been taken off the air. The fans deserve the show. Joe's ego deserves a much bigger person.
Feel free to post this from where it came. I'm tired of all the bull****.

What happened? I'll tell you what happened.
"As for Delenn, every morning for as long as she lived, Delenn got up before dawn and watched the sun come up."
I cried, damnit! That's what happened!

Don't know HOW I missed this thread - B5 was my favorite show of all time. Damn shame - I was *really* hoping for a revival.
You know, I have the entirety of Season 5 on VHS that I actually BOUGHT when it was out. If you want to see these eps, I'm sure a loaner or something can be arranged.
And yes, I bawled like a baby at the end of it, too!

google for the "babylon 5 lurkers guide" -- that will have what you want. Suprised no one mentioned this yet..

Lyta dies in the Telepath War
Marcus is thawed a couple of centuries later and healed. He proceed to spend all of his money to make a duplicate Ivanova (from a short story by JMS).

What's up with all this talk of Marcus being defrosted? This is as bad as all the fanboy Star Wars guys who want to try and make their little books canon.
As far as I'm concerned, Marcus is dead, and Ivanova should have boffed him just once. Long live Marcus!

I wondered about Marcus being frozen, too...
