I know this was mentioned in another thread recently, but I figured it deserved another since it's actually in the guide data now.

HBO will re-air Season One of 'The Wire' starting Friday, September 26. I, for one, can't wait, as I started watching in Season Two and had a little trouble figuring out what was going on.

Excellent - I've been looking forward to this; I held off on jumping into season two in hopes that HBO would re-air both seasons sooner rather than later.

Sounds like both of you are ready to get into it, but I wanted to add a reminder for those who haven't seen either season yet - watch at least 3 episodes of Season 1 before you give up. It starts just a little slow because there's so many characters to introduce, but this show REALLY rocks once it gets going.

Even though I watched Season 1 last summer when it was first on, then caught the re-runs just before Season 2 started, I'm looking forward to watching it all over again! (Although with all the new fall shows, I may not watch it as quickly as I do when they're new.... :p )

That was my problem; I gave up after the first two episodes of season one. After reading all of the positive press about the show when season two was about to begin, I realized my mistake, but figured it best to wait until I could catch season one before starting season two (I hate jumping into shows in the middle of the story line).
