I have a Hughes HDVR2 series 2 Direct TIVO. It was Manufactured in on 8/2/03. I want to upgrade the hard drive for more hours and would like to make HU cards work in the unit.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS????

The most important thing is that i want to get hu card to work in it!!!
I seen people do this becuase they are selling it on Ebay.

Also have seen on some threads about the newest software for HDVR2's is harder to upgrade. Does anyone know anything on this???

Your machine will work perfectly fine with a P4 card. If you don't have a card for your unit, DTV will provide one for $20.

If there's some reason that you can't contact DTV to send you a new card and still need to run an HU card on your unit, just a reminder from the entrance to this forum:

no talk of any type of service theft is allowed.
