TivoWeb was working and it is located in the root directory...
I have tried "/tivoweb/tivoweb console "

Did you try a reboot? Is tivoweb in your startup script?

Hi THANKS,
I Restarted the Unit From THe Setup Screen and that did not work!
(I also tried to restart it just by killing the power!)
So I guess it is not in my startup script. I am clueless as to code for TiVo. I can access it via the telnet and FTP but that is about it ...
Thanks for any help you can give me. I have to run back and forth with the remote!!!! Hey at least I am getting a little cardio!!!!

What do you see when you try to start up the tivoweb from the bash promt? Before I added tivoweb to the startup file I think a had a problem starting it up with the "console" parameter. I am not sure why, but I just typed "tivoweb" without "console". And I was able to access it via http. For a good beginners reference (which is all I am) see steve jenkin's TiVo Network Hack How-To Guide, http://tivo.stevejenkins.com/network.html.

When I type in the IP i get sent to a page that the site can't be found.
Also I keep getting Permission denied when I try to access the file /tivoweb/tivoweb
I will look at the How to guide again but I get lost in the code and I am affraid I am just messing things up more!
Thanks again

The version of tivoweb I installed placed the run time files in the directory /tivoweb-tcl. I have made a number of mistakes at the bash promt typing in the wrong directory path. So, verify the exact loaction of the tivoweb file. If you are in fact typing in the exact location of the file. I would then try a fresh re install of tivoweb. I originally ftp'd mine into /var/hack. Then followed the jenkins how to word for word:
(the following is from steve's how to)
To install TiVoWeb, first make sure you’re in the directory where you downloaded the TiVoWeb distribution by typing:
cd /var/hack [ENTER]
Uncompress the file you just downloaded by typing:
gzip –d tivoweb-tcl-1.9.4.beta4.tar.gz [ENTER]
Now extract the contents of the tar file with:
cpio -H tar -i < tivoweb-tcl-1.9.4.beta4.tar [ENTER]
This command will create a new directory called tivoweb-tcl and extract the contents of the tar file into the tivoweb-tcl directory.
Start the TiVoWeb program by typing:
/var/hack/tivoweb-tcl/tivoweb console
This tells TiVoWeb that you are running the program from the console (the shell prompt) and that you want the program to output any messages to the console. This will allow you to make sure everything worked during the installation. You’ll see a few messages as it loads itself into memory, and then you should see:
Accepting Connections....
(end how to)
A reinstall should do the trick.
