why 160gb?

From what I understand after reading Hinsdale How-to, only 137GB of the drive's space will be visible to TiVo. So, what is the benefit of installing a 160GB drive versus a 120GB drive aside from gaining a couple of hours worth of space?

That "couple of hours worth" is up to 15 in a combo and probably a little over 20 at basic in a standalone. More than "a couple of hours". Plus, the price of 160GB drives is shrinking every day.

Another advantage is all 160gb drives are all exactly 137gb (any drive over 137 is exactly the same 28-bit lba capacity of 137.4gb).

So if you gotta copy one over, no size mismatch to worry about.

Besides, the cost difference is nearly none now.
