My HD has been making chitering noises. So I tried to "dd" it to a new drive but it keeps failing. So I think I need an image. Can someone please help me.

Make a compressed backup from the drive. As long as the TiVo still boots, it should work.

I get "Cannot boot Kernel" and when I do "dd" it stops with like 2=input and 0=output.

PS: I have no HD with a fat partion on it. *sigh* 4 computers and not one of them is fat32, all NTFS.
