What's the worst show on TV?

What do you think is the worst show on TV? My vote goes to that "Animal Stars" (I think it's called) on Animal Planet where they have judges like Amercian Idol judging Animals doing dumb tricks. Poor A.C. Slater.
A close secong would be Primetime Glick. Who told Martin Short this character was funny. Oh man, the fat guy fell out of his chair again!! It's comic gold!!

Any show that has stupid animated graphics interfere with the program.:(

why yes, yes I do. I believe it to be coincidence...unlike me changing the channel when Oprah graces the screen.

Oprah makes me wish there was a Tivo setting that said, "Not only is this something I don't want you to suggest, but if you ever find one of your tuners located on a channel presently airing Oprah, please tune it to another channel."

Ricky Lake got to be one of the worst, if not the worst show!

Jerry Springer. A complete exhibition of how stupid people can get if you put them in front of a television camera.

Anything with a laugh track. If they have to tell me when to laugh, it's probably not funny.

Pet Psychic

I saw a local Buffalo Bills Report show that was laughably bad. The host was a big loud guy dressed in a white suit with a red tie. He had a Bills player as a guest, and the setting was the bar area of the Bennigan's in downtown Rochester. Tivo picked this up on my Bills wishlist. I watched in amazement for about five minutes because it's rare that you see something that cheezy, and then deleted it.
For national shows, yeah, Pet Psychic is awful.

For me, its any Barbara Walters interview. I wish I would become famous, just so I can tell Barbara I would never sit for an interview with her.

I agree that Primetime Glick looks BAD, I have not seen it and don't intend to, I don't even know where I've seen clips (Letterman?).
I have to vote for Andromeda, although I haven't watched the season premier yet, last year I was so close to deleting my season pass.

Yes! My wife likes to watch "Reba", so the other night I sit down and watch a few minutes. I immediately noticed that the laugh track was three times the volume (which took about twice for me to get real annoying).
Naturally the 'laugh track' was engaged every few seconds so you would be reminded your supposed to be laughing at drivel.

The Wade Robson project!!!!

Another vote for Primetime Glick. Martin Short is a no-talent leech who needs to get salted.

What just a minute, you HATE Andromeda, but have been watching every single episode that comes on and can't come to delete the SP?

No, I don't have every episode, just the first one for this season. Last year I really thought the show went downhill. I have now watched the season opener and it wasn't too bad.

Local shows will always be the worst, and aren't suitable as answers to this question, but I have to make an exception for "The Mark Cuban Show". It is on the high-def satellite channel as well as local broadcast and man, does it suck.
"Hi! I'm really really rich and I can buy my own TV show! I also think I'm really funny, so won't you watch while I make a fool of myself?"

I don't know what the worst show on TV is because I certainly don't watch it!

Star Trek i don't know how people can watch it.

Same here, but I'm fairly sure it's either a Reality show or a Sitcom.

Cut Mark some slack.. He is a huge HDTV fan.. Even started his own HDTV Network. Guys like him are good for guys like you and me who want HDTV to catch on sooner rather than later.

I wonder how it compares to Charlie Chat. :)

I know I'm not gnna be popular for this, but I depise the daily show...most of the jokes make no sense, and seriously, does the audience get paid to laugh when the producers want them to?

Hey, I'm a huge Mav's fan, so I LOVE what he's done for my team. I'm a huge HDTV fan, so I also love what he's doing on that front. Hell, I like most everything he does. But as a TV watcher, I just have to stand up and say that show blows. Even Gordo (local reference) couldn't save it.
On the other hand, maybe I'm just jealous I can't fund my own show.

The jokes usually make sense to me! I think it's one of the funniest shows going. A lot of the humor is pretty dry, though, so if you don't have that kind of sense of humor, I can see why you'd hate it.

I couldn't agree more. Reality TV is the worst (it's certainly not "real") and there hasn't been a sitcom worth watching since Sinefeld. In fact, I won't even watch a show that's less than an hour long - I just don't see how you can get any kind of story or characterization (or even a couple of decent jokes) into 22 minutes. If more sitcoms were structured like Sinefeld or Faulty Towers I'd get back on board.

99% of what's on.
That's why Tivo is great -- it let's you access the 1% that's worth watching!

A few months ago, I was laid off from my job. "Watch Jerry Springer," a friend advised me. "It'll make you feel better about your situation."
Well, I did try. I think I lasted maybe three or four minutes. Three very unattractive, incoherent and violent people kept taking their clothes off and trying to attack each other. I still have no idea why. Security would restrain them, the audience would roar, then the whole thing would start again. During this, Springer himself said maybe five words.
Even with most shows I don't like, at least I have to concede the effort that goes into getting the program on the air. But here, it seemed no one was even trying to do anything even remotely associated with a television program.
And I don't hate reality TV...it's just a genre, like any other, and reality shows are good or bad depending on how well-executed they are.
So, definitely Jerry Springer. I'm not sure you could do a worse show if you actually tried.

I tried to watch "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge" (or whatever it's called) one night and was bored beyond belief. My 13-year-old nephew really likes it, but I (32-year-old uncle) couldn't stand it.

Clearly, the worst show on TV (not counting reality shows which should be considered surveillance cameras with a comment track) is
Bob the Builder
Any show that can insult a three year old's intelligence AND make the teletubbies appear coherent deserves this award! Truly, the developer of Bob the Builder would cast Barney as King Lear.

"Full Frontal Fashion." TiVo suggested it as my wife is a fashion-freak, and I really wish it wouldn't have. Stilted reading-off-the-cards, weak jokes, pointless man-in-the-street segments. Ow, ow, ow. I want my 20 minutes back.

Elimidate - where do they get the contestants for that show? Skanky is an understatement!
