Monday Night Football!! Spoilers on who won!

The most exciting game in Monday Night Football!!! I will never doubt my beloved colts again. I turned the game off at halftime and decided to get caught up on my Alias DVD's. My wife comes running in from work asking if I was watching. I didn't know what she was talking about and finally clued in. I flipped it over with the score tied and 20 seconds on the clock. This will go down as the best MNF ever!

p.s. To all the people that are going to write in about the flag thrown after the first FG, too bad.. Rewind your TiVo to the roughing the kicker call that gave your team another first down. You had an opportunity to win it and didn't.

Great game!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a great game, I had written it off too but happened to turn it back on at the end of the 4th just in time to see it get interesting. As for the penalty on the 1st kick.. yeh he did it, but it was still a rediculous call (tho Im glad, was pullin for the colts). Great game tho, one of the best I've seen in a LONG time.

I gotta say last night was a great night to own a directivo. I watched every pitch of the baseball game and every play of the football game. It was an awesome finish to a game that was all but over with less than 4 minutes left. Thanks dual tuner DirecTivo :)

That game was incredible. I can't believe the Buc safeties kept letting the Colts behind them. This was one case were the prevent defense WOULD have prevented the Bucs from losing.

That officiating crew is terrible. It's always a hanky-fest when they call a game. And yes, the running into the punter call was lame, but it didn't give Tampa a "redo" of the game-winning kick. If the Simeon Rice call was a makeup, it was ill-timed. I'm not a Bucs fan, but that may have been the worst call I have seen in any NFL game. Madden and Michaels were right on.

Oh, and Fox re: baseball, we don't need to go to a shot of the bar in Boston after every stinking pitch! Once an inning would have been more than enough.

Mac

PS - Oh, and ditto on the "Thank You, DirecTivo!" Though I was watching MNF live in HD, I was double-fisting remotes, using the Tivo for replays. ABC's MNF coverage is amazing in HD.

I do agree that it is a bad rule, but Madden and Michaels read the rule which state a player may not jump in the air and land on a teamate, which technically is what he did on that kick. I think they got the call right based on the badly written rule, which there are several in the NFL.

I couldn't agree more.

I really want the HD box, but I am waiting for the HDirectivo.

When the game was finally decided, it was after midnight Central time - 1AM (!!!) in Tampa. Lots of folks late to work this morning! It was truly a classic game and a terrific broadcast.

Here's what I think happened on that play. In the first quarter, Bucs D was called for a face masked penalty. A sideline judge after watching the replay on the jumbotron whistled no foul. FF to 4th down and the whistle on the Tupa punt that gave TB a new set of downs. I think a ref watched another play on the jumbotron (not allowed) and gave the Colts a makeup call. Is it right? No way. Doesn't matter. Buc fans can say what they want, but their team should have never let the game tie.

After watching the replays, I'm still trying to figure out how TB came up with the ball after the second onside kick.

Yes, it's a bad rule and needs to be rewritten like the tuck rule. But even as written, a player should have to blatantly land on a player for an official to throw that flag. Looked to me like Rice landed on the ground, touching a player on the way down. He certainly didn't use a teammate to elevate himself higher or hold himself aloft longer, which all can agree is the intent of the rule. I just question whether he "landed" on a teammate at all.

Me too on the HDDirecTivo. One remote, one input on the TV. Woohoo! Will be selling my HD box (but keeping the SDDirectTivo for another TV) as soon as it's available.

Both teams got called on a technicality.. The officiating wasn't good.

But you have to admit, that was one damn exciting and incredible game.

I come before you a humbled man! I gave up on watching it and even deleted what I had recorded. If anyone is gracious enough to stick it on video tape for me, I will be most thankful. Just PM me if anyone has it still.

If misery loves company, you can count me in. I went to bed at 10:30 PM EDT last night and recorded the second half of the game. Sat down to watch the rest of the game at breakfast this morning and when Tampa went up by three touchdowns in the third quarter, stopped watching and deleted the recording.

I didn't find out until late afternoon today the the Colts came back to win. ouch!

What happened to the player who was injured seemingly seriously. I was only glancing at the game at that point but they seemed to think he had injured his throat or something.

I didn't see the injury but a player that grabs at his throat is indicative of a collarbone fracture.

Just to add another "how great it is to have a directivo" story-
I had given up on the game at 35-14......Went on the internet,
and saw the score was tied at 35-35 and could not believe it!
Luckily, I still had the game on one of the tuners, and, thanks to the magic of directivo, was able to rewind and watch the entire comeback!!!!
